Trowa's name (both of 'em) is meant to represent the number three. Three is the number of luck and good fortune, an easy life and an easy-going personality.

Nah, okay, here's how it works: Trowa could be considered very lucky and secure in his life, simply because he has the sure knowledge that he'll end up on a battlefield somehow or another, and as long as he keeps kicking everyone else's ass he has no worries (and he's a damn good fighter, so he doesn't have to worry). He can adapt himself to most situations so that he will fit in and stay alive. Whether or not he wants to stay alive is another matter entirely, but he hangs on pretty good -- like in the second segment of ep 48 where he comments about his life not being worth living anymore, he's planning to keep going on because he has somewhere to be, despite the fact that his existance might be a lie. That doesn't bother him, he's completely empty of feeling so it's like, "if he's there, he's there. *shrug*". I guess that counts as easy-going personality. ~_^

Yes, I know this isn't painting a very pretty picture of Trowa. His existance is depressing, there's just no denying it. Just take a listen to his image songs (or, if you're like me and don't understand Japanese, go hunt down the translation of the lyrics). "Doukeshi" ("Clown") says it all. People tend to think of luck as a good thing. In this case, however, it doesn't seem that way. Trowa appears to be partly positive about living in the first segment of ep 48, where he comments about defying death, that he will defy it yet again before this battle is over. He's counting on his luck to get him through it...and I guess for his friends, too. ^_^;

Now this is interesting...9 is the number of greed and hoarding, jealousy and envy. I think it's appropriate when one accepts that Triton Bloom is Catherine's brother, and she tends to hoarde him into her care, fighting off those who would take him away from her. ^_^ But to apply it to Trowa himself...He is greedy in a way, keeping his emotions to himself and not letting anyone get under his skin (except Catherine and Quatre succeed in doing this). He's envious of Heero's way of carelessly throwing his life away to benefit others, something he...just can't manage to do... ^_^;

All in all, Trowa stands ready to slip into his professional soldier mode, lending his luck whenever the people need a dedicated fighter to protect them.
