Clothing:
She dresses like a respectable Parisian woman should, and keeps her thick, brown hair tucked up under a cap.
Personality:
Cross on the surface, she tries to present a front that is all business and no nonsense. She worries that people will take advantage of her good nature if she's too 'soft,' and tries to keep the world at arms' length. Deep down, she has a big, mushy heart that makes her warm and generous to those she truly cares about. |

An excellent and inventive cook - nothing is ever good enough for her where food is concerned. More literate than the average Parisian, and proud of the fact. |

History:
Born into the family of a well-to-do merchant near Rouen, Therese grew up as a respectable provincial girl. When her mother's health failed, Therese started taking on the duties of running the household and, by the time she was 11 and her mother had died, Therese was as accomplished a little housekeeper as any woman in her town. At 19, she married and thought she had found true and lasting happiness, but her husband made the mistake of betraying her and the marriage came to a drastic end. Therese's life as the keeper of a tavern in a rather seedy neighborhood in the back alleys of Paris, friend to Gypsies and outcasts, is not at all where she expected to end up, but she has adapted and made the best of it.
