Velvet Rose
Appearance:
Rose is about 5'4" in height although she has a tendency to float over people's heads rather than actually walk, so few people notice her height. She is very slender and had long, pointed ears, as fae often appear, with pale skin and mid-back-length ringlets of hair. The front two ringlets on either side of her face are a bright auburn in color, while the rest is a fine reddish-chestnut brown. Her almond-shaped eyes are bright green, more likely to found in a cat that a person.

Age:
She's an immortal, born sometime during the reign of the Greek and Roman gods.
Gender:
Female
Clothing:
When in "fae mode" (which is most of the time, she wears a cherry red tunic with is like a halter at the top with "Grecian" folds at the neck Below the waist, it's little more than a flap at the front and back, like a long loincloth. This garment is belted at the waist by a plain, black belt. Rose also accessorizes with full-length black gloves of satin, with the fingers cut out and matching boots that reach up to mid-thigh.
When she is in "mortal" form, used only for traveling in superstitious circles. Her appearance changes only in that, her ears assume the shape of a normal mortal's and her clothes become far more modest. The style depends on her particular time period; for medieval times she assumes some sort of gypsy garb, for modern times she'll wear the ubiquitous little black dress.
Personality:
She has a very self-assured air although she somehow manages not to be too egotistical. She's playful and has a tendency to play pranks on people without thinking of the outcome. She does have a temper and if you become the brunt of it, look out! She also has a very sexy attitude and knows it, if you know what I mean.
Skills:
Well, as a fairy, she has a wide range of magic powers. She can travel through time, affect the lives of mortals with tremendous outcome, float in the air as a way of transportation, and freeze time to name a few.
Aside from normal fae powers, she has a haunting singing voice and can charm her way out of just about anything with her voice. Her beauty also has an odd effect on men and women alike, making them instantly want to be near her.
Hobbies/Habits:
Her only true habit and hobby is meddling in the affairs of humans, a practice often disdained by other fae. As mentioned before, she sings... she also can dance and play one or two musical instruments if need be. She does have the nasty habit of hopping around in time and making mischief, particularly in medieval times and such.
Faults:
Her confidence is as much a fault as an asset, for when she fails even slightly it crushes her completely and she reacts with traditional fae zeal. She also falls in love with mortals, a BAD habit among immortals since mortals have this nasty habit of dying.
History:
Rose's parents are Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love and beauty, and Anubis, the Egyptian god of death and rebirth. She was raised between Mount Olympus and the Egyptian Underworld, so has a wide range of mortals under her thumb.
Her histories before now were not anything to write home about. However...
Rose had read the Hugo novel Notre Dame de Paris and was attracted to Claude Frollo's tortured psyche and restrained *ahem* lust. As a result, she traveled to medieval Paris to track down said "villain". Rose met with Frollo under the guise of a novice nun (she's not above some heavy irony) and soon revealed her identity to Frollo. He was... not thrilled, to say the least... especially since he was busy chasing down Esme at the time.
Hurt by Frollo's rejection, Rose adopted Esmeralda's appearance to trick Frollo into accepting her romantic attentions. When he found out, he banished her from his sight. Never tick off a fairy. She is the one who thwarted all of Frollo' attempts on Esmeralda, either directly or indirectly.
Now that the fire has passed, Rose checks in on Frollo once in a while...
mostly to tease him.
Special:
In case you haven't figured it out yet, Rose is a member of the race known as fae. All of the ancient gods and goddesses, even the current reigning members of the Trinity, are magical creatures known as fae. Although most no longer demand the "worship" of mortals, immortals are still egotistical and like to play with the lives of humans. Rose's "cousin" and best friend, Puck, also figures in many of her pranks and the two are rarely apart for long. Puck is also a fairy and one that was featured prominently in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
