| Rayven | |
Appearance:
5' 4" Slender build Black hair with red; streaked with grey Slight limp on right leg (caused by pain, not any sort of deformity), but very graceful in movement. Long fingers Pretty enough face; the lines of age reveal little - her usual facial expression is pleasant, but does not convey any particular emotion. Check the picture on Shiriluna's page. |
Age:
Early 50's? Being a gypsy, Rayven never learned how to count terribly
high. She knows what she has seen, and where she has been. It seems absurd
to mark the passage of time in any other way. (Note: the age of
50 was older then than it is now.)

Personality:
Rayven listens and learns about others, but others learn little about her. She is quiet to the point of eccentricity, often cryptic when she does speak, and mysterious to a fault. She has infinite patience and an imperturbable nature. She is calm and gentle, a comforting listener, and a fantastic if unorthodox counselour. She can listen silently to one's troubles for hours on end, then impart a single sentence of wisdom and realization that leaves the troubled one reeling as she slips away. Rayven tends to keep to the shadows and strives to be unobtrusive, though for all her stealth, her mysteriousness often arouses curiousity in others, making going unnoticed almost impossible. |
Skills:
Hypnotism of a sort. She does this through a low humming, and it is almost an unconscious act. She has never used it to truly manipulate anyone against their will (at least not so far as anyone knows), and rarely even uses it at all. Cooking well enough to survive, basic first aid, other basic skills. Singing: She does it very well actually, but is somewhat shy about it, so she will stop if she is caught at it, and almost never sings where others can hear it on purpose (this does not include the humming). Dreamwalking. She has the ability to enter into others dreams and act there. The extent of her abilities in the realm of dreams is known only to her. It is known that she is capable of doing this against someone's will, and will do so if she feels it necessary. She is also able to make people sleep, and, to a limited degree, put concepts and pictures into other people's minds while they are awake. People: She can sense them - their mood, their personality, their presence and/or the traces thereof (ie. she knows if they've been in the room even if they aren't now). |
Hobbies/Habits:
She doesn't sleep, ever, although she does need to rest herself physically as much as anyone else. The only escape into tranquility for her mind is to find someone's peaceful dream, go into it, and just Be there (not act in the dream, simply observe it).
Faults:
Quietness: This can be a fault at times, as her reluctance to speak shuts her off from others and limits communication (although it can also be an advantage). Patience: People who are very patient may at times be annoying to people who aren't. Stubborness: It doesn't show much because she is rarely argued with, but it's there. |
History:
Her past is anyone's guess unless they were there. She rarely reveals where she has been or where she is going, even when asked, and her lineage remains unknown to most. She is without family, friends, and tribe ("The DreamWalker" is a title she has earned through her abilities, NOT a last name, though it is often used like one.).

Special:
Rayven tends to travel with storms. No mystical reason (although others might think she causes them or something equally as magical), she just likes them, and they seem to favour her. Most of the world does. Perhaps it's just luck, or coincidence, but events and circumstances tend to mould themselves to her convenience. Rayven has connections with very strange people. Very Strange. |
